BIOGRAPHICAL INFO
Attorney Jay Rothlein was born in Queens, New York. He moved to Miami Beach at age 3 and was raised in South Florida. Jay graduated from Miami Beach Senior High in 1977 with honors at age 16. He then attended the University of Florida, graduating with Honors in 1981 receiving a BSBA in Finance from the School of Business. Jay also attended the University of Florida College of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1984. He is a member of the Florida Bar (admitted October 19, 1984), the American Bar Association, and the Miami Beach Bar Association. He has received a peer review rating of "AV" from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating they give.

Attorney Jay Rothlein has been in solo Private Practice since 1984. He is personally involved in all of his cases including the following areas of practice:

Mr. Rothlein has been appointed by the Court(s) to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem, Curator of an Estate, Assistant Public Defender and Circuit Court Mediator. He received a Pro Bono Service Award from legal Services of Greater Miami and has served as a mentor in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Internship Program for high school students interested in the field of law.
Mr. Rothlein was Certified as a Circuit Civil Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court in October 2011 and is available to mediate all types of Civil Disputes, not involving family law, which are either currently pending in the County or Circuit Courts of Florida or before suit is filed, provided the subject matter would make jurisdiction proper in a Florida Civil Court, if suit were filed.
Jay is married to Alana since 1989 and has two daughters and two granddaughters. In his spare time he enjoys his family, sports, boating, music and art.
